The vapour (water or solvent) sorption properties of solid state materials are recognised as critical factors in determining their formulation, stability, storage and performance of pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical materials. We have two principle measurement techniques to help analyse and determine this interaction. First is the Dynamic Vapour Sorption (DVS) instrument, which is based on gravimetric mass variation as function of controlled vapour concentration interactions. The second is the Surface Energy Analyser (SEA), which is a gas-phase technique for characterising surface and bulk properties of materials.
In addition, our own application laboratories in Europe and the USA are a key part of the service we offer to our customers. They are fully equipped with a suite of DVS and SEA instruments and an expert scientific team enables us to offer a range contract analysis services designed around each customer’s requirement.
