DANI DiscovIR-GCT- Enhanced Resolution Infrared Detection System for Gas Chromatography
DANI DiscovIR is the most advanced system for FTIR detection hyphenated to chromatography. With its capability of acquiring solid phase FTIR spectra, DANI DiscovIR provides unprecedent sensitivity, high resolution IR spectral information and the opportunity to use commercially available spectral libraries. The DANI DiscovIR-GC system is particularly useful in identifying structural isomers, which can be a challenging area for Mass Spectrometry.
How DiscovIR works :
Upon exiting the GC column, the eluants are deposited as a collimated jet onto a cryogenically-cooled sample collection disk. The infrared transparent disk rotates/translates under the deposit tip to result in a spiral deposit track of samples. A beam of infrared light from an interferometer passes through the disk along the deposition track, and infrared
spectra are collected onto an MCT detector.
DANI DiscovIR-GC is the ideal tool to complement information acquired with the DANI Master TOF, in particular in cases like drug of abuse investigations or material characterization.
